Who was Nelson..??? Callum.

Well the weather today here on the Wirral has been bloomin bonkers...Sun is out one minute, next light rain ! But the whole time very close and sticky. Basically shorts and t-shirt weather.

My Dad picked the children and I up, in his new people carrier and we drove down to a lovely little village called Parkgate. It used to be a sea front many, many years ago..But now its just marshland for miles and miles, until the River Dee - The views of Wales from there are amazing. And there's a shop that sells the best ice cream in the world there, so we all had one and they were divine.

Anyway my Dad - Who loves History - Started talking about Nelson, and that he had once visited Parkgate...So Callum but's in shouting " oh, I know, I know " So with me not even knowing this, I questioned how he knew ? and did he know who Nelson was...With that he say's " Oh Mum, of course I do..He plays for Everton " Well we couldn't stop laughing. Back to school tommorrow YIPPEE, suppose I'd better get there uniforms washed and pressed..Hope everyone has had a great Bank Holiday of work...xxxx

I hate to disappoint you, but a certain local newspaper reporter once wrote a story based on the infamous Nelson-visited-Parkgate fable.

Turned out it's bollocks.

Nelson's - as it indeed turned out to be - was a jam shop!

Even i got some colour today, 22 degres today, even had the kids in the padling pool, didn't show the legs though, some people couldn't stomach my legs (corned beef) :)) x

It reminds me usually conversations with my dad.
He's a story-teller but he's got always some incredible teories and we still quarrel.
Anyway, I saw him last time 9 months ago and I miss this fights :))

It's not easy.
But it's not our record.
I didn't see him 7 years before.
It's becouse, I live in Europe (first in Poland, now in UK), my parents live in Chicago and I visited them 2 years ago first time.
They drive me crazy sometimes but it's not important when I miss them

Wow..Paddling pool in may !!
It must have been hot, you'll have to get a spray tan until you can get a proper tan...Like a foundation for legs, it's great x
